Dear Colleagues,

Infants in nearly 100 countries across the world now have access to rotavirus vaccines and an estimated 54 million are vaccinated annually. There are now four globally available rotavirus vaccines, with several promising new products on the horizon. Yet many countries have not moved forward with plans to introduce rotavirus vaccine and those that have introduced often face coverage gaps, leaving 81 million infants unvaccinated.

With breakthroughs in our knowledge about rotavirus disease and vaccine impact, coupled with significant changes in the global supply of vaccine, an update to the ROTA Council’s white paper on rotavirus is due. Below, we provide an overview of what the new briefing materials will include in order to support your work in protecting infants around the world against rotavirus disease.
